The Brass Volcanoes

 

Everyone at Jazz on the Green 2011 enjoyed the funky music of the ever-popular group Brass Volcanoes. 

Some people danced, sang and clapped their hands - whilst others just listened, watched and happily ate their picnics on Newington Green.

Face Painting and Table Tennis

 

The Bright Lights children's project from the Unitarian Church, which can be seen overlooking the Green, were offering face painting and craftwork at their colourful stall at Jazz on the Green.

Table tennis was kindly provided by the Mildmay Table Tennis Club and was much enjoyed!

Newington Green Traders' Association and RSPB stalls

A new departure for Jazz on the Green 2011, was to have a number of stalls selling food, children's goods, massage, Fair Trade crafts and Victoriana. The newly-formed Newington Green Traders' Association ran most of the stalls and they were joined by the RSPB, The Unitarian Church and the Mildmay Safer Police Team.

Brass Volcanoes visited the playground with their music, much to the delight of the children at Jazz on the Green 2010.
