<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>New Pathway</strong></span></p>
<p>This is one of the new pathways that have been created that lead through the bushes and flower borders on Newington Green, giving children a new area to explore.</p>
<p>The bark chippings that cover the path are not only soft to walk on compared to the hard surfaces of the concrete pavements but they will also create a new habitat for insects and other invertebrates, which will in turn provide food for foraging birds, particularly during the cold winter months when food is scarce.</p>

<p>Small <a href="http://newingtongreen.org.uk/image/funghi-growing-newington-green">fungi</a> are already beginning to grow in the bark chippings, adding to the biodiversity of Newington Green.</p>
