Good News! Newington Green Action Group's publication in 2008 of the excellent local history book by Alex Allardyce, won the Walter Bor Media Award in November 2009.

'The Village That Changed the World. A History of Newington Green, London N16' is a fascinating read and gives us a chance to discover the long history of our local area and the many influential people that have lived here since medieval times.
