Giving Away the Trees

Jenny Littlewood, the Chair of Newington Green Action Group, helps out at the WING Tree Giveaway.

Thanks to the generosity of the Woodland Trust, we were able to give out 420 native tree saplings to local people and community groups, so that they can be planted around the Newington Green area to enhance the wildlife corridors we have been developing.

The Mayville Community Centre, King Henry's Walk Community Garden, Newington Green and Highbury Quadrant Primary Schools, St Mary's Church and many local residents took away native trees to plant, which will extend the green corridors and offer more habitats to wildlife.
