Tree Damage

Once a beautiful cherry tree on nearby Petherton Road, N5.

This tree has been badly vandalised - the bark has been shredded and torn off and the tree has been knifed, so that the life-giving sap runs down and out of the tree which is unlikely to survive. Not only is this sad, but it's a worrying trend.

This is criminal damage, as well as being an attack on our environment. As such, it needs to be reported to the police if you see people letting their dogs chew off the bark, or if people themselves strip the bark or knife the tree. 

We need all the trees we can get in this congested urban area, in order for us to breathe, to clean the air for us and to cool the environment, as climate change heats up our city.

We need to take care of our trees!
