Newington Green is one of just 46 sites in the UK that have been given the prestigious

Green Heritage Site Award for 2009-2010.

In order to qualify for this award, all parks must have already been given a Green Flag Award.This is the third year running that the Green has been given the Green Heritage Award, which is sponsored by English Heritage.
