Green Flag Award

The Green Flag Award

This award is now run by Keep Britain Tidy and is recognised as the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales. The award is given to parks that obtain a high standard of care and also have a good level of community involvement.

Newington Green has been given the Green Flag Award each year since 2006-2007 and NGAG volunteers have contributed towards the Green obtaining the award, through their many hours of involvement and events on the Green each year. 

If you would like to help us keep our Green a pleasant space to visit, do contact us and join in our activities. New volunteers are always welcome!
