Cromwell Lodge

Cromwell Lodge, 30 Newington Green
This lovely house is on the East side of Newington Green and is in Islington. It was probably built around 1810 although the cellar suggests it might have been built on top of a previous, much earlier building.
Alderman Arnold Rosen and his wife Verna, who were very active within the community and were part of the earlier Newington Green Society in the 1970s, used to live here. There is a commemorative sundial to them on Newington Green.
