Carols on the Green 2009

It was a cold, damp night for Carols on the Green 2009 but despite this, everyone enjoyed themselves. The Newington Green Action Group and the Unitarian Church once again got together to invite local residents to join in with Carols on the Green. Children from Newington Green and St Matthias Primary Schools lead us all in the singing, accompanied by Graham Hughes, the trumpeter from Brass Volcanoes, plus Will Green and staff from both primary schools. 

Islington's Mayor, Cllr Anna Berent and her Consort Ray Alcock attended and joined in with the singing, as did the Mildmay Safer Neighbourhood Police Team.

Many thanks for the much appreciated hot fruit punch that was donated by That Place on the Corner, mince pies that were donated by Tesco and for the all important song sheets which were supplied by M & M Properties.
