Bulb Planting

In November 2008, some volunteer members of NGAG got together to plant spring bulbs, beneath some of the street trees around Newington Green. These bulbs had been donated to us by B & Q.

We hope that over time, we will increase the number of street trees that are underplanted with spring bulbs, which will not only make the area around Newington Green look more attractive but will offer some much-needed nectar and pollen to insects that come out of hibernation early in the year.
