The Big Garden Birdwatch 2010 on Newington Green

Two of the NGAG volunteers that took part in the Big Garden Birdwatch survey on Newington Green, early on a chilly morning, 30th January 2010.

It is also possible to see one of last year's crow's nests in the photo. The nest is in the top of a tall plane tree on the North end of the Green and crows have already been visiting it again this year. Recently a pair of crows were observed guarding the nest by fighting off a flock of 7 magpies - the crows won!

The BGBW records will be sent in to the RSPB. They will also be included on this Website when we have collected recordings from some local gardens. This data will then be compared to that collected for the BGBW 2009 record which took place around the Newington Green area.
