Easter Bunny is Coming!

Bring the family, have fun and help the environment. Join in the Easter Bunny Event on Newington Green and meet our LBI Greenspace Rangers who will be running some activities for children.

Growing Communities

Growing Communities is a social enterprise comprised of local people, that runs the Stoke Newington Farmer's Market on Church St. Their Milkfloat and Maisie the Cow (not a real one!) will be coming to Newington Green with information about the organic Farmer's Market and the local organic food box scheme.

Adults ~ We need your help!

International Year of Biodiversity 2010

Come and help NGAG Volunteers support our biodiversity and plant some wildlife-friendly flowers. Some will be native species and all will look beautiful on the Green. We will be choosing pollen and nectar-rich plants that will attract and support bees and beneficial insects; some may feed birds as well.

Give-Aways

NGAG will be giving away Cotton Shopping Bags, Water Savers and Wildlife Boxes. These will include some red mason bee nesting boxes that you can put up in your garden, as part of our WING project. Red mason bees (Osmia rufa) are safe around children and pets, so are perfect to encourage in our small gardens - and you will be helping our bees to survive.

Refreshments

Star Box will be open for the day, run by That Place on the Corner. Snacks and hot drinks will be available
