Mary Wollstonecraft

Mary on the Green project.

The Newington Green Action Group is pleased to announce that it is now launching its Mary on the Green campaign, with a second website dedicated to our exciting project to erect a memorial sculpture to Mary Wollstonecraft on Newington Green N16. Wollstonecraft (1759-1797) used to attend the Dissenters' Church and ran a girl's school, here on the Green.
